Herb Caen, the late columnist for the San Francisco Chronicle, called these intersections of jobs and names namefreaks. He used to do a running bit on them. I miss reading Herb.

I had a dentist named, no kidding, Dr. Blood. Wouldn't that inspire confidence!

One more, not really a namefreak but still funny. A grade school teacher I had, last name was Ellenious. And she was not married, making her Miss Ellenious.

There used to be a long-running cartoon series for children in the UK called Captain Pugwash, about a bunch of sailors. The BBC apparently took it off the air when parents complained about the names of the characters:

Master Bates
Seaman Staines
One-eyed Jack
