Goldfinger... 2 quick goals and good play.

You must feel happy....

The Dutch have looked solid in the last 1 1/2 games.
You certainly have a chance to get your wish this year.

GERMANY vs IRAN

Most on this thread are:
A: "Expecting" an Iran win or tie
B: Or "hoping" for an Iran win or tie

Why?

Is this reality, past resentment, or to teach a poster a lesson?

"If Germans weren't so modest they could almost be perfect!" <ggg>

Well.....

So far looks like it will be a clear victory for Holland, playing solid, organized.... (I hate it but... Methodically), the defense has all but eliminated the Mexican forwards.

The Dutch have done what they have needed to do executing to perfection the opportunities given (it could also be 3 x 0 as they missed a cip over the goalie).

Mexico not giving up (which it is nice to see), but they are being outplayed and outskilled, they are trying but the Dutch defense so far has been flawless.

Unless some wierd disaster were to happen or the Mexicans would borrow some of the Norse gods "magic", this is a "cooked rice" situation....

So sadly, Mexico's qualification is up to S. Korea scoring and coming up with a tie against the invalids (Belgium).....

I am appreciating the Dutch exhibition, but arrrgghhhhhhhh....

George,

As for that article.... wow... it speaks mountains, and it also goes to show the importance of a good Trainer, I can understand the frustration of those players (Lalas et all), seeing the team not perform and at the same time seeing the attitude of the head bureaucrat.... it would burn me, burn me, burn me....

On with the second half...

Z.
