Hi Jim, expecting a earnings shortfall ? your $ 110 Puts @ $2.50

See you bought these IBM puts yesterday . If they are July's what do need to see IBM fall to for a profit in 3 weeks ?

On your question regarding a company buying/selling stock and relevant options , a while back the WSJ reported on activity of this sort by INTC and MSFT .

Had to do with INTC's & MSFT's dramatic earning announcements and executive options , but of course it concluded it was fair dealing .

My opinion is it is an profitable exercise performed often by large brokerage houses on volatile stocks (INTC , MSFT etc.)
