Pardon me if this has already been mentioned...

On May 19th, a $10 million class action lawsuit was brought against Oxford Health Plans and any other insurer on behalf of all medically diagnosed impotent men who have been denied coverage for all or part of a prescription for the drug Viagra.

Industry observers have estimated that about one-half of insurance plans now cover sildenafil therapy. The Health Care Financing Administration may rule that state Medicaid agencies must cover the drug. In the meantime, Medicaid programs have split on the issue, with 11 states covering the drug and 12 others---including those in California, Illinois, New York, and Pennsylvania---just saying no.
