It's gotta be SSI... as I recall it's not an oscillator in the Copitts, Hartley sense but some NAND gates in a configuration called a "timer" and it puts out TTL level square waves not nice smooth sine waves. I'm afraid some of the "embedded's have clocks and they're everywhere" talk is based upon devices like 555's. Which are timers, not clocks.
