GET A CLUE!

Look at AMD - they don't even sell a 166 or 200 or 233 MHz K6 anymore - the 266 and 300 MHz are all that they are "pushing"!

Everybody is going to faster CPUs - and you can argue until you are BLUER in the face that they are not needed.

When Intel offers a faster chip than AMD or Cyrix, they have two choices - to lower their prices and LOSE MORE MONEY - or get busy and make faster chips.

Every new chip announcement by AMD or Cyrix focuses on how "fast" it is, how it "as fast" as comparable Intel chips.

You either keep up or you go out of business.

And AMD and Cyrix are losing money pretty fast - so you know where they are headed.
