Altera Announces Increase of Share Repurchase Program SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 25, 1998--Altera Corporation (NASDAQ:ALTR - news) today announced that it has increased from 2,000,000 to 6,000,000 the number of shares of the Company's common stock authorized for repurchase under its share repurchase program. Under the program, which was previously authorized by the Board of Directors, the shares may be purchased in the open market from time to time at the discretion of the Company's management.
