STATE COLLEGE, Pa., June 25 /PRNewswire/ -- EquiMed, Inc. (Nasdaq: EQMDE) announced today that the Company's common stock has been delisted from the Nasdaq stock market effective with the close of business Monday June 22, 1998. The delisting was the result of the Company's inability to complete its filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission of its Form 10-K for the fiscal year ended December 31, 1997. The Company has not been able to finalize its financial statements and complete its audit examination for the year ending December 31, 1997.

The company hopes to finalize its audited financial statements within thirty days and upon completion will complete the Form 10-K filing at which time the Company expects to apply for re-listing with the Nasdaq or apply for listing on another exchange.

The Company also stated that it expects to report a significant loss for the 1997 fiscal year principally due to losses experienced in the anesthesia business and subsequent write-off of goodwill. In addition, the Company reported the resignation of its Chief Financial Officer effective June 30, 1998. A successor has not yet been appointed.
