RE:"If Intel has this capability" Craig, Intel has claimed the delay will only be several weeks. The time to volume production on a new uCode mask would be measured in months rather than weeks. I am inclined to believe the programmable uCode theory, because it is the only explanation for how they could repair the damage that quickly. I suspect they consider the programmable uCode to be somewhat of a trade secret, and as such aren't talking about it. Scumbria
