The minor reform of weekly, instead of monthly, accounting of MM positions (with same cash set-aside for underwater shorts) would probably take the gun out of their hands. However, I think we need to remember that we can win at this game, even under existing rules. Not if we chase moving stocks with market orders and expect to double-out in a day, no. Not if we communicate all of our moves to MM's by public picks, advance warnings of news (I'm guilty of that one, but no more) and the like. But if we learn to trade, and learn who we are trading with, we can still do very well.
