I doubt that the initial promotional expenses are "colossal". Pfizer dropped its plans to advertise Viagra when it quickly became a household word via the media. If you still think the initial promotional expenses are large, please explain.

Lauren, where did you get this "The colossal initial promotional expenses in connection with the launching of Viagra ?" As far as we know, PFE hasn't needed or probably will never need huge ad costs. It'a already done, by the major news network, the cyberspace, word of mouth, all free of charge! Viagara is dangerously close to being in the next edition of any English Dictionary. and where did you get this 2/3 cents number? Boy, it's easy to be an expert and throw numbers around! Gee!
