This is not about quashing 'short' opinions. This is about people who make baseless, irresponsible & potentially defaming & libelous statements. This kind of behavior is illegal and can profoundly impact both the company and it's investors.
I wouldn't be so cavalier if I were you. If someone called you a filthy crook in a business context, would you just ignore it? I think not. If someone implied that your company was running a stock promotion scam in a business context, would you, as legal counsel for that company, ignore it? Not if you were doing your job.
Both TAVA's general counsel and myself take Mr. Wexler's statements very seriously...I assure you this will be pursued.

Dear Roger: I'm guessing you might have info about the chances for a power grid failure related to Y2K, and its consequences. Would it be possible for you to give us the scope of the problem and the chances to avoid severe disruptions?
