I have only done a small bit of work on Tava, & do not profess to be an expert. The Y2K issue is real (unfortunately), and TAVA's factory floor approach is worthy of additional investigation. Some Y2K stocks have in the past shot up far beyond reasonable values, and given the controversy this stock has attracted, volatility should be expected. It is unfortunate that already, there is considerable "name-calling" and accusations regarding this stock. A sidebar on the TAVA story would be that companies who have addressed the Y2K issue on the factory level will have a competitive advantage vs. companies who have not done so. I would be interested in learning more about which companies have and have not addressed the Y2K issue. Much has been written about which sectors of government have and have not addressed the issue, but which manufacturers if any, will have serious problems on 1/1/00 and what will those problems be? And, which firms will benefit (competitors) from those problems? Is there a discussion thread which focuses on this?

jwk--In the few conversations I've had with Scott in the past weeks, I made it clear to him that the consensus among the SI members, was that the CC was a disastor. I'm 99% sure that JJ is aware of the reaction. He's (JJ) a very capable speaker, not easily rattled and knows that this is his chance to reinstill confidence in management--I think he can pull it off. Jan
