I have to admit that I am NOT a Clintonista fan-- but he pulled off a great move in China...

Wonder how much the Chinese military put into his Isle of Man bank account...

Thread-

In a recent private message to me, LT defended his nonsense. I had challenged his claim that the Supreme Court released McDougal or that Clinton met with dissidents. I would not want anyone to take his moronic drivel seriously, so at the risk of offending the like-minded censor of SI, here goes. LT said,

<<You got to get out more Larry, first yes the Supreme Court did recently rule on McDougal's case and released her from custody.

Clinton did meet with representative of political prisoners in China.

Starr and the whole fiasco is nothing more than a bunch of "smoke and mirrors" ...>>

LT went on to suggest that I was part of the "extreme right wing"? Does this kind of smear have a familiar ring to it?

My response:
------------------------------------------------------------------

<<Dear, me, LT, whom to believe

On June the Washington Post (not exactly an impeccable source) said, "A federal judge in Little Rock yesterday ordered Susan McDougal ... released from prison for medical reasons .... U.S. District Judge George Howard said he was leaning toward 'compassion and mercy rather than strictness' in agreeing to release McDougal to her parents ..."

Gee, I did not know the Supreme Court met in Little Rock, and I did not know that Judge George Howard sat on the Supreme Court. Matter of fact, I thought those who served on the Supreme Court were referred to as "Justice", not "Judge". So I could either believe the Post, or some guy who spouts forth on the Internet- and who declines to give his name. Tough choice, but I'll bet on the Post. Well I guess if I uttered such rubbish I'd also decline to give my real name.

Guess you are the type who is often in error, but never in doubt.

I am quite suspicious of your claim that Bill Clinton met with dissidents in China- that would be an enormous breech of protocol with a very prickly foreign government. Perhaps you could document this meeting, or is this another one of your bogus claims stemming from your hopelessly warped world view?

Given your track record for accuracy, I guess I know what to make of your claim that "Starr and the whole fiasco is nothing more a bunch of 'smoke and mirrors' ...">>

The impressive thing is not that you can be so consistently and obstinately wrong with your facts- or even that your view of the world is fashioned by nothing more than your own fantasy. No, the most impressive thing is you seem to think you have something to contribute to intelligent discourse. Take heart- you have lots of company here on SI.

Cheers,

Larry

P.S. Given my real name, I can't say I care much for the initials you selected. Perhaps you'd consider other initials? How about "BS"?>>

Note: When I refer to someone's "moronic drivel" I make clear my rationale. This exceeds both the bounds of the permissible on SI and the intellectual capacity or attention span of some who participate in it. Those inclined to flame me, kindly have the integrity and common decency to do likewise.
