Lets just see if I can sum up a few items out over the last week or so.

YHOO preannounces they report a loss

AMZN downgraded to a hold by at least two firms

AMZN insiders have sold/filed to sell (at least a small amount for now that can be verified.

AMZN reportedly is not willing to disclose float. (highly suspect)

AMZN through SEC releases news that addition of a gazillion new employees is adding a "significant strain" on financial position. My interpretion hurtin on cash flow big time.

Writing is all over the wall. What to do..

For the record, I have tons of stock short and boxed.. Anyone not having any luck shorting stock can pay me a fat premium, open an account with my broker, and I will have him transfer some of my shorts to ya. :) As it is, once I unbox I am instantly open to fed calls that I can't meet if this thing upticks first.. :(

Deeber, Where did you see this ~ 17 to 19MM share float number? If true this changes the whole complexion. The CFO not disclosing float also is very interesting, but maybe it was that time of the month and she was naturally disposed to be a bitch. -vbg- (Don't kill me ladies. -g-)

Seriously, there is no reason to not disclose unless something needs to be kept in the bag, or if you are a SNOOT. I need to check up on insider sales restrictions (although I suspect the combined group could sell enough to meet your numbers), but if you are correct on float it would explain how shares are coming onto the market to be borrowed against and shorted.

Well, I will call my broker to see if shares are now available and get around the poot looser proposition.

Regards, DWW
