Gary and all...

I just spent the past 30-40 minutes in a complete re-install. I had tried to re-install the upgrade over the top of what I had, but that didn't work.

I uninstalled QP, then re-installed from the CD first, then from the upgrade. All is well! Except, I neglected to uncheck the note on my data files so I have to get all that from June 10 to date. Tonight's download will be lengthy.

Whatever was a problem went away and I was also able to transfer all history from the CD to my drive, as well.

Now, I am half afraid to try virtual, but have to. Just wish I knew where all this came from. I suspect defrag may have moved something is shouldn't have, as Bob Jagow suggested. But, I've never had anything like this before, and I use defrag regularly.

Thanks to all who offered suggestions and help.

Ken

Gary,

I have visited the Quotes Plus web site for a few weeks and just yesterday called up to order the product/service. I was disappointed to find out that my costs were NOT $29.95/$12.95, but $49.95/$18.95 plus an additional charge for mutual fund data.

To say the least, I felt like the experience was bait-and-switch. I have been planning to acquire some trading/charting software and have been evaluating several options. Your price was low enough to not worry about my final choice. At $50.00, I balked because it might be better to apply the funds elsewhere. Likewise, at $12.95, I could ignore other data feed options and go with your service even if I selected another source as well. When your order taker quoted the final price for a 6-month service plus software, I almost choked! I had no clue the prices had changed.

It is a trivial matter to make changes to a web site. I told your order taker how I felt and that I expected you to change the web site to stop the mis-information or I would expect to get the product for the advertised prices. I see it is still the same today.

Yesterday, I almost ended the phone call without ordering because I have learned that relationships that start on a sour note usually end that way. I went ahead and ordered because of the recommendations of a couple of people. I hope you will show you care about your customers and correct the pricing on your web site.
