I could have sworn that this thread was supposed to be about naming names and warning investors about bashers. All I can find here is bickering and petty hair splitting about definitions. Maybe all you people filling up these posts with useless babble are really bashers trying to hobble this site.

Why do you consider Analyst10 to be a basher?
exchange2000.com

I wasn't following the DGIV thread, but I saw so many references to ANALYST10, that I started reading some of the posts. From the posts I could find in his/her profile, I didn't see anything I would call 'bashing'.

David,

I said over and over, that all we are asking for is a stock that trades in accordance with how many shares are sold and bought.

There are always exactly as many shares sold as bought. It is simple math. The market makers knows which side is more aggressive and knows what orders he has on his books and moves the price accordingly. This info is not available to the public so you have no idea if he setting the price rationally. This comment that here are 3 times as many buyers as sellers is not determinable by anyone but the market makers and there is no way you will know this by simply watching the tape.

Hyping is equally wrong, but many of us are much more concerned lately with what appears to be PROFESSIONAL bashing going on....people who all of a sudden join SI and on the same day bash a stock and bash it mercilessly.

All manipulation is bad. And yes there are short sellers who try to manipulate stocks. I believe, however, that for reasons I have stated earlier that market makers are rarely short manipulators. Manipulation by market makers seems to be one of the central components of your views and quite frankly I believe you are way overstating this. There are many more hypsters running around and they are much more dangerous than the shorts as they feed peoples desire to hit a big score. You seem to have a problem with the Stock Detective. I am unfamiliar with that service. But I have encountered dozens of publications that are nothing more than tout sheets for hypsters. There are plenty of professional touts who are practicing their trade on SI. They are much more of a danger than the shorts.

Allright Dave! Thanks for saying what needs to be said. These guys are good, they seem to swarm like moskitoes, or sharks... Can anyone describe Naked Shorting? How about naked selling between mm's? Does this stuff happen or are we all misguided?
