>>The entire consolidator issue I think will be consumer driven, and not biller driven. Which didn't Pete say he didn't care who did the html, NetScape is still going to need payments technology after a presentment. They are going to need to deal with a with payments company to leap-frog MSFDC, and a consolidator just to round out the service....that leaves only CKFR which can truely pay anyone...soon to be 85% electronic.

those were my earliest fuzzy thoughts before I went back to sleep for 3 hours.

>>Wishing...could you see a PublishingXpert program always default the bill to CheckFree Integrion and leave MSFDC totally out of the consolidator loop?

Could likely happen. No love lost between NSCP & MSFT. CheckFree on the other hand is just a smoothly run outfit not wanting to dominate the world. Right?

>>That would be paybacks for not having the Navigator Icon on the Windows Start Screen....and what do they say about 'paybacks' in PA?

Well, they ain't fun or glamourus, in fact their sometimes a down right bitch!

>>>...looks like they could either have those bills at the biller site like CYCH, or allow the biller e-mail them to a customer, or allow the biller to send the bills to a consolidator.

I agree. It's amazing with all the different players in bill presentment that no two 'models' are exactly alike. I don't think CheckFree will be quick to partner with NetScape, unless Netscape agrees to be treated just like another biller (i.e. IBS). If NetScape wants some other type of partnership, they will have to show that they have a 'REAL' product. I think there are too many companies promising bill presentment products like MCI systems, Oracle, EDS, Netscape, CyberCash, etc., CF should be very careful when picking a partner(s).
