Have I thought about this and is it possible? Well yes anything is possible I guess. My BMW air conditioner might fix itself, because anything is possible.

But really the problem I have with answering this question is I don't know what kind of timeframe there is on the sales cycle for support products (you salespeople have buzzwords for this, once a company decides they want support software how long before revenue is recognized at the vendor). People keep telling me I dont understand how complex CIS is... lets say for arguments sake CIS is as complex as SCM, well then we would be looking at revenue on the books this qtr for things that were initally started last December - before the Scopus announcement, so if that were the case then no, it is not possible that Scopus took business from Vantive (I know scm is more complex than cis btw).

I do think you may have a point that the Scopus vaporware could be causing delays in some situations. That seems likely, but again I am unclear as to how much preference a Sebl support offering would have over a separate vendor. Its not like ERP/SCM where the Sap SCM (if it existed) would clearly be better from a supportabiltiy standpoint. Do customers want integrated SFA/CIS that badly?
