thanks for the prompt response. Just got myself 100 shares of a 2K share order as we speak. Now I either have to hope the rest of the order fills or have to dump the 100 to clean up my books.

I guess AON is indeed restrictive but some shares at the right price is still better than none.

Steve,

one more question regarding shorts.

If I am shorting a stock vs selling, is my order a lower "priority" than a normal seller. In fact, looking at the L2 screen, what determines who gets the trade first if there are multiple bids or asks at the same price?
