Dave, I kind of doubt this. If you are right, you'll see massive dumping in the AM. do you really think they would jump into this fire, spend this kind of money to shore up the stock less than 2 lousy bucks? and then will dump right away? Won't that be just a little bit transparent? Maybe it was speculation on some sort of announcement, or a discovery that things indeed were pretty good.

I understand what you are saying about Amerindo, but I've talked to several people, and it is highly unlikely - although anything is possible. It is also possible that they want it for the start of the quarter, and see that it is at an incredible buying point.

also possible is that a Cowen or a DMG is going to rerate the stock strongly - may even an upgrade at these low prices, and wanted to pick some up before rating.

The last 1/2 hour of trading was directly related to a fund trying to make it's vanive disaster less of a train wreck. The quarter is still unknown.

Dave:

Could you explain a bit more about this? I think what you are saying is that a fund has a large position at lets just say 30, which they watched drop today down to 18.50. At that point they bid up the stock by buying and buying and buying, because they know they can move the market, just to take it up a couple of dollars.

How is that different from them just averaging down? Are you saying that by flooding the market so fast rather than slow and steady it must have been on purpose to prop it up? I think someone already asked - what happens tomorrow then?

Sorry for all the questions, this kind of manipulation is new to me.

Thanks
-jsc

Farbermeister! Thanks for being the ever present optimist which gave me encouragement for my AM buy at 19. I think the next few days will tell us a lot, and expect a good bounce back. This is going to be a great stcok for institutions to own over the next qrt. Plus I own a bunch at 30 so need the help.
