As to Kosovo, I do not think it will affect commodity prices and mostly may stiff the US - Russia relationship and instability in Russia.

As to your comments regarding the radar signal being shut down, chances are slim bu by then the missile is already looked into the target and chances are slim to miss it. In general such station have plenty of radio/high frequency radiations.

As to the fear of deflation we have it already all the major commodities and other countries mostly Asia, and the stock market is celebrating. Any stabilization will generate infalation in the US and Stagflation as Asia will not recover.

Therefore IMHO raising rates now 1/4 point will lead to more flexibility for the FED, as they will cool down the US economy (mostly lowering the sentiment) and later the FED will be able to lower rates agressively.
