John- I was under the impression that Dell did indeed build their own boards. Could be wrong though.

No way CPQ will use an overseas vendor to build boards unless it is only for the Asian market for PC's. Too expensive to import back to this country. Remember, this business is EXTREAMELY automated and labor savings overseas is minimal. However, setting up manufacturing plants in Asia and Europe makes lots of sense if you are supplying the end product in those regions because of very liberal tax rates and sweetheart deals the governments of those regions provide to the manufacturers. I have no clue why they are getting out of this business. Where's hpeace when you need him?????
