Charles, <<cage by insulting me>> That got my attention. Someone properly trained in weapons would know that one never modifies (saws barrels) of the weapon ( or uses handloads for ammunition). Protection of the family is one reason that some keep a firearm. Protection of the family also requires that they don't lose their property or wealth if sued. Unfortunately everything today must be politically correct. The scumbags lawyer will teach the jury on how one just lay in wait with their modified shotgun, sawed off to kill better. "Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, the defendant in wanton disregard for human life used a SAWED OFF shotgun to ambush my client........". You can make up some more hyperbole for yourself. Same thing goes for ammunition. Use only factory unmodified guns and ammunition for self protection. While I own some exotic firearms and hand load, my house and personal protection guns are primarily simple unmodified revolvers with factory ammunition.

>> Yes I advocate formal training.
I'm pleased to read this.
Would you support a mandate for formal training, as a precursor to gun ownership?
