Getting back to MIDL; wouldn't a company with a promising product or one that was already producing revenues be better off just starting off fresh by initiating an IPO: BB or Nasdaq?

Cost of coming public, IPO Fees, accounting Fees, Tranfer Agent, Market MAkers, Paperwork fees, registration fees. Basically money.. Also IPOs typically fall down to where the MMs want to start it from. If the company dies not have strong support.

2) If it is feasible for MIDL and Company X to get together--who does the initiating?

Depends on who the intiator is. COuld be either one. Someone calling looking for a shell could be Midland calling someone looking for a shell.

If its Midland, who specifically, do you think, at Midland would be the one to start a ball rolling

Could be anyone but presently it has to go though Mark Pierce.

Hope this helps
