Jimbo: I agree that the most crucial information has been that orders have improved, but the person who posted here said the orders went from "awful to OK"...not exactly jumping-up-and-down enthusiasm to cause the stock price to rise. You know the confirmation of improved orders that I'm looking for...insiders buying. Haven't seen it yet.
Jim, what do you think of the new .25 micron process in Cu? Will it add to the bottom line by being applied to the existing chip line, or merely be a whiz bang technology to be put in the showcase and brought out for future designs? If it can add to the bottom line, what do you think it is worth? BTW....I'm laying odds that IBM files a patent infringement suit over the Cu process. I don't have any inside info on this, just my gut feeling. But I hope no one reading this board gets upset when they see such a suit in the papers. these suits are routine in this business, and are just as routinely settled with a swap of information and not money.
