Street prices on AMD's 266 Mhz 3DNow! parts are holding steady while the prices on the 300 Mhz version have actually increased since they were introduced. The 300 Mhz parts are in short supply.

Prices on regular K6s have remained pretty stable over the past couple of weeks.

It looks like the interest in 3DNow! is picking up. AMD probably won't do a large amount of mass advertising until toward the end of summer Back-to-School and pre-Christmas season.

CL is a disaster and will be continue to be a disaster.

They have spent millions of dollars and they have nothing but a story and neat technology.

They can only convert maybe 5% of Altera's devices. They have to spend enormous amount of money debugging each Altera Device/Architecture.

The final device is not field programmable to take care of bugs or in-system upgrades.

In any volume situation they get "leveraged" out by Altera because volume get a package discount.

If you think the WC execution has been poor the whole CL execution/plan has been a fiasco.

Regards,

Kash
