Some Earnings Growth Expectations from Zacks: Company Next Yr Next 5 Yr ORCL 24.5% 24.4% MSFT 19.5% 23.7% INTC 21.1% 19.5% If the market really believed these numbers, Oracle's stock price would not be so low. I don't think the market believes Oracle will make these numbers. BTW I just read a study which shows that analyst estimates of future earnings for US stocks are on average biased upwards by more than 50%. The institutions are well aware of this and discount estimates accordingly.
