Tired of all this crap ...venting caution!! If there was something rotten in Denmark where is the SEC? They don't take kindly to any of the alleged wrong doings. Burning cash, you've got to spend money to make money. A few of us have personally visited the company. Saw for ourselves the numerous hard working people. Got to see. smell and feel the technology and from what I know about the people that run this company have worked their asses off for over eight years and took a standard salary for the top three people of One hundred thousand a year. Now, I don't know about everyone here but have any of you tried to send your kid(s) to college and live middle-class life style on one hundred thousand a year in Southern California! This is before taxes. Now,to even think that these scientists, that have gone to school many many years, moved to the USA, and worked to build a business worth possibly close to ONE BILLION Dollars someday soon would risk losing every penny they ever made, have to endure numerous lawsuits, and maybe go to prison... for what? I was one of the unlucky people who made history and was defrauded By the first company that hyped it's stock over the Internet and the CEO was sent to Federal prison for only four years. So please unless someone can document charges made by some federal agency against this company...put up or shut the hell up. People are talking libel,fraud etc, etc. The people better be able to back up what they are alleging because some of us have significant money invested in this company. People go to jail longer for stealing money than they do for killing people. I haven't read the article in question but I have experienced so called top analysts influencing me to change my mind on Intel and within a month I lost One Hundred thousand dollars (on paper) for taking her advice. Seth, Are you saying you believe there is no difference between the NAZ and the NYSE and AMEX, that the MMs have no effect on price movements? Let's assume that it takes higher volume to move up than down. Do you still think the MMs have no role when they are trading between themselves, or when they trade ahead of your order (can they still do this) when a specialist can not? Appreciate your response. jc (the article I previously mentioned refers to an analysis done by John Gould and Allan Kleidon published in the Stanford Journal of Law, Business and Finance, in 1994. They concluded that roughly 41% of NAZ volume is investor generated. The rest, 59%, is marketmakers trading among themselves, known as "the churn". I do not know if the new rules, or the settlement of the class action against MMs, changed this.)
