Barnes & Nobel is about two years too late. They are trying to play catch-up. The battle was lost before they got started. They are making a pathetic attempt to correct a serious miscalculation in the importance of the Internet.

Just because you haven't clicked Amazon.com since '96, don't let that cloud your judgement of how popular Amazon is today.

Personally, I wouldn't dream of going to the B&N website to buy a book. That's me. Amazon has obviously caught the imagination of the new generation of internet shoppers. The very idea of this upstart succeeding leaves some traditionalists with a bitter taste in their mouths. Too bad.

As you yourself said, maybe you are blind (no offense meant).
