Zeus:

I'm no expert, but have had great success under similar circumstances by reducing the graphics acceleration under Control Panel/System/Performance/Graphics.

Best, Peter

MULITI MONITORS
I'm trying to setup Win98 dual monitors with two Imagine 128 Series 2 cards.

http://www.nine.com/products/imagine2/index.html
Number nine dosen't seem to have the updated driver's yet for the setup to work.

On the positive side my other computer is setup running WinNt 4.0 dual monitors using an Appian J2 http://www.appiantech.com/product/product1b.htm dual card and it works fantastic.

Also I just bought an Compaq TFT500 http://necxdirect.necx.com:8002/cgi-bin/auth/ifilelnk_q?key=0000109234&nonce=guest 15" LCD monitor and its awesome.

Matrox 98 drivers........waiting for full release.

If the beta drivers have given you so much problems,
I guess I'll have to wait too, unless I use another
card. This is what is holding me back from getting
my computer built.

For daytrading - running a few browsers and kill keys
at 800x600 resolution, would I find the same problems
you encountered as far as horrendous resolution?

NEW Matrox DRIVERS for Win '98

No longer Beta.
Try the new drivers out and see if the multimonitor set-up
is more stable.

Other problems you experienced with the beta drivers:
#reply-5093759 Were they resolved in the current release?
