Right now MVS is in decline, UNIX is peaking, and NT is just starting its ascendency. The relevant point for MSFT investors is that NT's glory days are still ahead of it.

I'm not so sure that UNIX is peaking. Linux seems to be the
fastest growing OS in use right now. And are we counting
desktops? How many of those NT sales are on the desktop, where UNIX has never been?

I think the story is far more complicated than MVS down, Unix flat, NT up.
