Darrell: Seriously, if we've learned anything at all in the last 50 years, it's that labels are tools used by the lazy and insecure. The Chinese are no more Communists today than the United States was the Capitalist Pig of the 60's. The Chinese Power Elite is an oligarchy of some very old guys not too hep on allowing for individual rights. They're in power; they're privaleged and happy and want to keep it that way. But they're on their way out as longs as they're not scared into leaving. These guys are a dopelganger of Chile in the 80's under Pinochet. You wouldn't call him a commie would you? BTW, I think Chile is a good buy now. Lazarre
