Ever lose a job or a job prospect due to quotas? Ever count how many minorities have been turned down for jobs rightfully deserved in the merit system? (Disclaimer: I'm not a proponent of AA. I do feel that the vast majority of the country does, in fact, live under what Rawls refers to as a "veil of ignorance." However, IMO, the answer is not AA; past oppression can be overcome, it cannot be repaid.) Ever want to make alterations to your home and have to face the local apparatchik who "approves" plans and blackmails you $xx for a license of approval? No, but we've been turned down for many licenses of approval to build a dock because we're infringing upon the rights of small mouth bass.
