Vantive Article in PCWeek
Title - Vantive Application will push data to salespeople

"Vantive Corp. is developing a new sales force automation application, called VantiveVista, that automatically gathers and presents data in real time from both front-office and back-office sources, from news feeds, and from across intranets and the Internet".

"will use real-time information delivery technology from Wayfarer Communications Inc."

"The new software will be available both as an entry point into the Vantive Enterprise Suite and as a stand-alone offering in the fourth quarter, officials said. Pricing was not released."

"One analyst said Vantive is the only sales force automation vendor offering push technology to get information out to sales representatives."

"The Wayfarer acquisition, announced June 18, calls for Vantive to assume all of Wayfarer's obligations and issue approximately 179,000 shares of Vantive common stock in exchange for all outstanding shares of Wayfarer."

"Vantive expects to record acquisition-related charges of approximately $11.5 million when the deal is finalized late this month."

Sorry for any typo's, my fingers aren't cooperating today.

Anyone: What's up with Vantive's Debt/Equity ratio of 1.14? Seems very high for a software company All their competitors are at zero. They have more debt than equity. No wonder their CFO left.

Also, speaking of highs, the institutional ownership of this stock is
extremely high (83.5%). Any insights?

Thanks.
