Intel just announced they are shutting down two plants in
Oregon for 9 days. I think it's pretty good timing to
release this news before the long holiday weekend.

I think INTEL will be pretty much flat in the next three to five years.

INTEL is used to fat profit margin, however , due to business environment, this has been changed in the past one to two years and will be continued for the years to come. Shrinking profit, competition , will be a life for INTEL in the years to come, as long as AMD and NSM continue to exit for low end and ALPHA for high end.
Now, the customers has other choices, and INTEL is not the only source for CPUs
, and the fat profit is hard to hold.
