Tom emailed to say he is having trouble accessing SI. So am I. It is starting to irritate me. Has been a problem for a few days.

I've noticed that the two appear to be a bit off kilter...

A bit off kilter, is right. While the BPNYSE (6/29) and the IPNYSE (7/1) seem to have similar tracks, there appear to be more than minor differences between them. The most recent column of Os on BP ranges from 46-70, while IP ranges from 50-72. The most recent column of Xs on BP ranges from 52-72, while IP Xs range from 56-76. There are similar dislocations for earlier columns, as well.

FWIW, you'd think that the charts should agree more closely--especially for prior periods...no? I wonder what gives. Seems to me that if the charts are out of kilter by a box or two, then using the daily IP to tune up the weekly BP signal could be very misleading.

Thoughts, anyone...
