As someone else said Cyrix/NSM + Intel is not a zero-sum game. There is room for the two of them and they could be a _VERY_ effective "duo". Cyrix has the technology to _RULE_ the low-end and Intel _can_ dominate the high-end completely.. they can split the middle to middle-high and middle-low..

Steve,

That's a good point but Intel can't allow it. If NSM is successful at the low end, then you can be sure they will want the middle and then the high end. Intel knows this very well. They know all about building a base with the low end and moving up the ladder.

Something a lot of Intel investors seem to be missing that while price right now for the cheapest "decent" machines hoover around $1,000, it's not going to be long before the $500 PC and thereafter the $250 PC.

Yeah, i think there will be all sorts of hybrid devices pc/tv pc/telephone web surfing devices at every price point. Intel will continue to segment the market and will compete in every market. I really have some apprehension about the whole sector. It could turn into the D Drive sector (huge demand, but no profits)

BTW: How is your COMS? Got any investment ideas?
