Jeff, I don't have the that problem w/ bold and italic, but I do have it with the ASCII characters I so often love using &#147&#151&#148 The &#147workaround&#148 I use is to not use the &#147Edit Your Message&#148 button&#151use the browser&#146s Back button instead to get back to my post. Seems to retain everthing with that method. Slightly less hassle than Copy/Paste. (but yes, it would be nice to not have to do this) -MrB
