I2: re:<Were you listening to the show in 1981?> Yes. 6AM to 10AM Saturdays on WMCA 570AM on the dial. I heard Brinker's call to become fully invested at DOW 777. Brinker regularly expressed his displeasure with getting up so early in the morning to be on the program. Things looked bleak then -- inflation and interest rate in the stratosphere, Russian troops in Afghanistan, hostages in Iran after the fall fo the Shah....yada yada yada. What a mess. Everyone thought DOW 1000 was the ceiling then. These were the dark ages before the IBM PC, Lotus 123 spreadsheets, plain paper fax machines everywhere, cell phones, CD's, VCR's, walkmans ... - how did we ever survive those dark days? Amazing how times have changed in ways no one would have dreamed possible then. P
