"Now, if the Jews misunderstood what Jesus (Pbuh) said, then they misunderstood him when they thought he was claiming to be equal to God." False! Just because I said they misunderstood prophecies of the future that does not necessarily mean they misunderstood the words out of Jesus mouth when he spoke. They did a lot, but not always. They knew when he was calling himself God, if that is what you are referring to in past posts. This was a very serious claim, and the Jews took exception to it when Jesus did it. They were in fact supposed to be the chosen people of God who were supposed to be responsible for the scriptures. Raymond, remember you are saying there are contradictions and changes in the bible, not me! Isaiah 9:6 is Isaiah 9:6 in the bible I read, and the Jews accusing him of blasphemy are the Jews accusing him of blasphemy. You are doing the changing, change it one way to suit you for one argument and another for another. You pick and choose what you believe in the New Testament as well! "Either way, put yourself in a bit of difficulty." No difficulty at all! You put yourself in a difficulty trying to disprove God's words! And thats what the bible is God's word! "I am surpised that you believe you understand this verse better than the Jews who wrote it." Did Isaiah meet the Messiah and I didn't know about it? I am sure Isaiah knew who the Messiah was when he met him. And he did! Will you? Raymond, can you read and translate Hebrew? Just wondering if you took another man's word for interpretation issues or you figured them out yourself. Remember, the people against Christianity might be painting a bad picture just like you say the people against Islam do! This was my question to you, did you translate it or take another man's word? Jews, the non-believing ones, as I was, make you want to think Christ is not Messiah, at all costs, just as you do! There are many who interpreted Isaiah 9:6 the way I published it, and not your way. But in all, taking all the scriptures and making sense of all of them, Jesus Christ was the Messiah. Hundreds of prophecies establish it! Please make sure you tell him that when you see him, that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior.... God Bless, Steve
