Ahhh Bearded One, where have I heard all those predictions before? Its as if I had written that myslef months ago. Anyone who knows the industry could have predicted the NT5 problems a while ago. Just as I stated several times earlier, Y2K, NT5 being a huge revolutionary product, and product pieces missing from the final release will all hurt MSFT's rollout of NT5.

And you were again very right that MSFT has clearly stated that they are "Betting the Farm" on NT5. So all these arguments I hear that NT5 is not a big factor to MSFT's bottom line or future success are way off. Some would call it denial. It seems every bit of bad news we bring up about a product, the common response I am hearing on this board is that "its not a big factor to MSFT in the long run".

Sorry folks, you can't have it both ways. If Win98 were a big success then you all would be singing out loud how critical Win98 was to MSFT's success. Likewise for NT5. But since it is not looking good for both these products, it quickly is not a critical factor for MSFT.

Ohh Well - Hear No Evil See No Evil....
