I have no problem at all with split infinitives. I had a boss once who was obsessed with them, so the SEC filings of our clients were filled with sentences like "The Company does not expect this development adversely to impact its financial condition or results of operation." Drove me crazy.

The only thing over which I go nuts is poor spelling. This sentence is like fingernails on the blackboard: I went to the libary where it was quite to work on some stastistics prolems."

Penni, look at it this way, DScott just gave you an opportunity for a tax write-off! Professional writers need continuous training too. :-)

Heck, I bet with some clever accounting you could write off ALL the time spent on SI. :-)

Hmmmmm. Do you have to be any good to be considered a writer by profession?
