Ken, Bill has an extensive and interesting track record posting on many SI threads. Once you read a few thousand posts on SI, the difference between hypesters (long and short) and the rest becomes pretty clear. I wouldn't count Bill among the hype crowd.

Of course, since I'm short TAVA I must be part of the conspiracy. It couldn't be because TAVA has almost doubled its outstanding shares in the last year to generate cash flow.

Click on my profile or Bill's and read our last several dozen messages. Conclusions are entirely up to you.

<< Nowadays, those with little or no ethics pick a target, announce to
their fellow goonies that a "party" is about to break out on so-and-so stock thread>>

Doesn't Mr. Pink know how to throw a good party? Could someone please pass a bottle of Alize. Mr. Pink drinks His on the rocks.

I FORGOT ABOUT RUSSELL 3000 INDEX ANNOUNCEMENT.
Message 5041571

TAVA's made the last 3 cuts, and the final Russell 3000 index will be announced tonight (July 7) after 6:00 pm.

This explains to me why so many shorts showed up yesterday.

Cheryl

Ken
if you believe that all short sellers are working together in a conspiracy and should be ignored then you are making a misjudgement. Stocks to short are not picked at random, but word of high risk potential shorts does spread.

Which is better for an investor?
1. to be full of confidence, reading only positive comments, never considering anything negative or
2. to hear both sides and get a balanced view.

some recent short comments here have been as useless as the bullish ra-ra that abounded a few months ago, but the board would be a poorer place with only positive comments. I was virtually driven off the board three months ago for expressing a largely negative opinion. Some of the negative opinion has turned out to be true, none false and we will wait and see on the rest.
Anyone with a little sense can seperate constructive posts like Bill's analysis of the 10Q from the useless ones.

And regarding Cheryl's post... that is the second time I've seen Cheryl mention buying more for her parents. It is absolutely the type of post a 'hypester' would write, whether Cheryl knows/intends it or not.

Patrick.
Not short, not a goonie, not a yapping parrot..

Ken:

An excellent post!!!

You said it all... Those of us that do due diligence will make decisions based on our own research, not the scare tactics of unscrupulous people whose only concern is fattening their wallets at other people's expense... We all know who they are... By not responding to them directly we help thwart their efforts...
