It seems that wstl has custom catered a product line for BEL. I mean why would wstl develop a CAP/DMT DSLAM with everyone in the Industry doing DMT???

I don't think it was custom catered for BEL. Originally it was for all potential customers to start with CAP and later migrate. I think the DOC is right, DMT did not come as fast as it was hyped leaving Westell out in the cold.

With CAP BEL can wait for pricing for DMT. Ready to deploy now. Isn't there still a risk that ALA can deliver. I mean with all the darn biz ALA has. BEL can dominate wstl. If BEL is planning to migrate wouldn't they want to deploy a DSLAM that will migrate to DMT..

Alcatel has been delivering, at least in Singapore. We know that for a fact.
Yes, Bell will migrate to DMT. I would rather let someone like bill c answer your migration DSLAM question. I'm sure he still lurks here. I don't know if DSC's Litespan -2000 supports both technologies.

How without wstl would ALA solve the RT??? Without wstl wouldn't ALA have to build a cabinet outside the RT to house their solution??What about intergrating ADSL into the e5ss switches???

These are bill c questions. Sorry I cant help. -Eric
