Dear Gregory: Your comment "thanks for the kind words". I went back and reread my post. My words to you would not have been quite as kind but I feel the Holy Spirit was leading me into what I was saying. In a way the Holy Spirit is quiet, unassuming, polite, gentle; but He has a way of applying steady pressure. I knew Him before I was saved and have gotten to know Him very well after salvation. He has a way of letting a lot slide by and not letting anything slide by if you are following me. You know of him. You have seen the evidence of Him because of the results in other's lives; but once you have Him inside you working from the inside out instead of the outside in as influences in your life can only happen now; it is an entirely different ballgame. Think about it this way. All influences are now external. Yes you have a natural man, a carnal man, you have your own energy to coin the eastern philosophies but what have those masses brought to the world in terms of real results; you give me a list of results by eastern philosophies in terms of curing polio, heart by pass innovations,scientific discoveries, cancer cures,aids cures, symphonies, chemistry, economics,business and I will dwarf any list you bring me with a list of contributions by Christians. The difference is the Holy Spirit. The power becomes internal. It is more not of a partnership but of a true yielding of your self to the higher power of the Holy Spirit. I want to say something to you like wake up, open your eyes but an "attitude like that" is dispicable in the eyes of the Lord. A relationship with Christ is so much more. Every salvation is a masterpiece, a master plan, a calculation so intricate that it would awe all of heaven. That is why for every salvation, every single one, all of heaven breaks out in praise of God. All of heaven is awed by the working of the Holy Spirit in a new found Christians heart. Loved ones, shout and sing, distant relatives fall on their faces; babies cry that are waiting for parents to arrive. I am telling you eyes have not seen nor ears heard what is in store for you but it is more awesome than you can imagine in your wildest dreams. I need not try to put pressure on you. The Holy Spirit draws you. It is an attraction that draws you to the Lord. No man can push you nor can God nor will He. But He keeps on drawing you to Him. Giving you a glimpse of what is in store, already put aside, reserved just for you. There is a certain "pain" involved in what He is doing to you right now. I've been there done that! You want to answer the invitation; but you don't want to. You want more , you don't want more. You feel a weakness in your knees, you feel you don't need anyone or anything, alternate, on , off, on, off. Brother you need prayer ! I've been there. In Christ.gregor
