Everyone,

Here is a "mission statement" that was posted June 2nd. It is the link at the end of this posting. I liked it when I saw it, and I still like it. Kurt had pointed it out to investors on another thread. I was just beginning to read Kurt's posts then, and liking what he had to say, I followed this link he had provided.

The statement contains some very high ideals, so, given human nature, it would not be for everyone at all times.

On the other hand, it would be a mistake to believe that success, in the market or anywhere else, necessarily means a dilution and compromise of ideals. Everywhere, there is evidence to the contrary. It simply does not receive the publicity.

Everyday of our lives, we have constant opportunity to choose how these lives shall be lived, what they will stand for. We can cut corners in certain areas, thinking that these compromises will be buried and hidden in the overall structure, that they will remain unseen, that they will be of small consequence in the scheme of things. This is not so.

First of all, there is always a place within where we ourselves cannot hide from that which we compromised, diluted with rationalization, fear, greed, or envy, or whatever. It is like living with a major screw-up made by an architect or builder.

How often have we heard someone we know say this about their ethics or spiritual values: " Yeah, but this is different...this is business?" What kind of escapism is this?

Also, these compromises cannot be long hidden in places outside ourselves. There is a saying: "We are as sick as our secrets."

The offices of psychotherapists, medical doctors, clergy, lawyers, loan officers, brokers, etc attest to this. We always seem to be in some kind of trouble that cannot be attributed to accident or any number of simplistic cliches, like "s**t happens." So much of this kind of difficulty is riddled with evidence of compromise in the areas of values, ideals, trust, honesty, and love.

Our choice is to determine what is worthwhile to us, and it is our right to seek out the same in others. We shall either form businesses, institutions, relationships, investment groups, societies, etc that are ultimately mediocre and unsatisfying, or ones that contain no secrets, no basic sickness, and are therefore of high purpose and enduring quality. Either way, mediocrity or quality, our work is always cut out for us. So, what makes the most sense?

Best,
Charliss(getting off her soap box and putting her bunny slippers back on)

Jetter...

"Hyping" is defined as deceitful promotion. Is that what you think we are doing? That is a question... not a challenge.

>>If DGIV is what people here (including myself) think it is, it will take care of itself. No need for hype or bashing for that matter.<<

Obviously, DGIV will do what it is going to do (in the long term) regardless of what we say. However, you can read that our enthusiasm, cheerleading, etc. is a way of taking care of ourselves... not DGIV.

>>The hyping I've seen just makes people look foolish and is a poor excuse for market timing.<<

I beg to differ... it does not make one look foolish to celebrate your passion or your joy. It does not make one look foolish to engage in mutual support. As for timing... I think not! The battle cry of this thread has been "Holding Long" for as long as I can remember.

>>Byron, what was so important that everyone should rush out and buy more shares, or continue holding what we have? To see us loose 20% of our equity? Please, if you know something share it with us.<<

It was shared... not on this thread, but it was shared.

>>If anyone looks at this with open eyes, its no different than what you all are accusing the bashers of doing... Stating information without the facts...<<

Interesting choice of words... "facts." Facts can be defined as truths. The "Bashers" have taken released information and twisted it and lied outright. That is deceit and not truthful. Byron on the other hand has conveyed to others information that he has received. Is that factual or truthful? As it often deals with future events it cannot be factual - it hasn't happened yet. Is it truthful - to the extent that he really did have that information and is faithfully reporting it is... at least in my mind. You must make up your own. It is up to the individual to hear the information and judge whether the future event is likely to occur. I prefer to hear all the information of this nature and judge for myself its likelihood of occurring.

Lastly, your sign-off...

>>Scott, the lone voice of reason?<<

This is rather presumptuous, don't you think? Your view is the only reasonable view? Your "reality" is the only reasonable "reality?" I find your rejection of emotion and demand that others do the same rather limiting, condescending and narrow minded.

Lazarus, hoping we have a party planned for the weekend on this, yes this, thread.
