One thing I hate about datek is their message system when
you're put on hold... the voice just sounds sooo unfriendly
and cold.. is this how they treat their customers?! And
today when I called their 888 number it was BUSY!

I lost 1500 potential profit because of the order that went
nowhere. nothing one can do though :( Etrade.. I have an
account with etrade too but their web interface is kind of
slow and getting quotes are difficult.

what about ameritrade, suretrade? anyone has experience w/
those?

thanks!

I must say, I've tried e-trade and wasn't too impressed with their service either. Two good points over Datek is that as far as I remember they offer All-Or-Nothing on the trades. They occationally had the same problems as Datek, but that was over a year ago now, and things might have changed.

Pristine seems to have a very strong following - particularly in the daytrader 'hoods ... I might go have a look at what they offer.

Steve,

I have accounts at both E*trade and Datek. Overall, I'm happier with Datek than E*trade. I wouldn't even keep the E*trade account if Datek did options and checking.

etrade is $20 for Nasdaq and all limit orders.
Margin rate under 50k is higher and they don't update your account till the next day, ugh!
Slow with confirming executions also.
Try Web St. Free trades on certain Nasdaq orders.
