Isn't the 70-85› charge pretax? That would be similar to 50› net.

I think that the market will not punish THQ for the GameFX charge (although it's strange that they would be writing off more than 75% of the acquisition price).

I don't think that THQI will buy MPRS. I think that the theory of a selling off of MPRS assets is more likely, including certain studios, titles and developers. I see THQI possibly buying some assets, but certainly not the company. I have trouble seeing how buying MPRS would be consistent with THQI's strategy. However, buying properties and assets from a distressed company might be a smart move.
