Did you see the announcement from Japan? They have no intention whatsover of abandoning their "market-share" philosophy. What worries me is more whether the various powers intend to spend EACH OTHER into oblivion, winner take all and no profits for anyone.

Could it be that this is just tough talk to scare their competitors into postponing any expansion plans?

If not and these companies are addicted to expansion, far be it from me to deprive them of their needed fix and make a buck by investing in the semi-equipment companies. You remember the old joke about the two investors?

Investor 1. Gee isn't it awful about the skyrocketing rates of heroin use?

Investor 2. Yea, who makes the needles?
